About Dawn Dickson:

Dawn W. Dickson is a serial entrepreneur with over 16 years in business development. She launched four successful cash flow positive companies since 2002, her most recent ventures Flat Out of Heels, a women’s footwear product, and PopCom software company for automated retail.

 Dawn has received numerous awards and accolades for her business savvy and pitching skills taking home top prize in many national pitch competitions. As an entrepreneur Dawn has been invited to speak on numerous panels and workshops and featured in countless media outlets including Forbes, Huffington Post, Essence Magazine, Ebony.com, Women’s World Daily, CNBC/Yahoo, and MSNBC.

 Dawn received her B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University and studied Information Technology at Devry. She is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Ray Miller Institute of Change and Leadership and a graduate of the United Way Project Diversity.

 Additionally, Dawn was selected to participate in some of the nation’s top accelerator programs for entrepreneurs including NewME, Canopy Boulder, and Techstars and is recognized as one of the nation’s top entrepreneurs.
