Carlile Patchen & Murphy and Campbell Hornbeck Chilcoat & Veatch to combine firms, establish Dublin office in addition to downtown office

DEC SPONSOR – (Columbus) – The partners of Carlile Patchen & Murphy and Campbell Hornbeck Chilcoat & Veatch announced today that the two firms are combining and the new firm will expand its full-‐service business law practice by opening an office in Dublin, in addition to its downtown Columbus Office

The combined firm will retain the Carlile Patchen & Murphy name and will become the largest full-‐service law office in Northwestern Franklin/Delaware/Union Counties.

“Dublin is one of the most dynamic growing business areas in the country, and certainly in Central Ohio. The Dublin/Marysville corridor is attracting exactly the types of clients we serve,“ said H. Ritchey Hollenbaugh, Carlile Patchen & Murphy’s Managing Partner. “Being in the heart of this region is a tremendous opportunity for our firm, our clients, and the local business community.”

“Dublin is in the midst of transformational development. Our business community is evolving and so are our community’s needs. It is rewarding to see that our vibrant culture continues to create an attractive and welcoming environment for quality businesses. Carlile Patchen & Murphy is a respected firm in the legal industry and was highly ranked in the 2015 “Best Law Firms” list by US News & World Report and Best Lawyers. We welcome them to Dublin,” said City Manager Dana McDaniel, City of Dublin.

The Dublin office is slated to open in early fall.

“The merger of Carlile Patchen & Murphy and Campbell Hornbeck combines two extremely similar firms of different sizes,” said Jeffrey Patter, Managing Partner of Campbell Hornbeck, whose firm has served these same suburban areas for decades. “Moving our location from Worthington to Dublin puts us closer to the heart of the Northwest growth area.”

“It’s more and better,” added Hollenbaugh.  “Our corporate cultures are the same, our clients are the same, and it just makes a tremendous amount of sense to bring service in 25 different areas of law under one roof to this area of our community. “

Hollenbaugh said the home office of Carlile Patchen & Murphy will remain in its building at 366 E. Broad St. in downtown Columbus.

“We’ve been committed to Central Ohio since 1967, and this is one of the most exciting times we’ve seen in the region. There are needs for this community that we will be better able to provide by having a second location in Dublin,” said Hollenbaugh.
